Ci4 Privacy Policy — How We Protect Your Information

Your privacy is our priority. This policy clearly explains what information we collect, how it is used and the steps we take to keep your data safe at all times.

Effective Date: 1 January 2026

1. Information We Collect

Ci4 collects your personal information when you register an account, use the platform or interact with our services. The information collected falls under several categories:

Account Information

During registration, you are required to provide your full name, email address, phone number and date of birth. This information is used to verify your identity and manage your account securely.

Device and Browser Information

The ci4 platform automatically records technical information including device type, operating system, browser model, IP address, and language settings. This data helps us display the correct interface and diagnose technical issues.

Local Payment Information

For transactions in Malaysian Ringgit (RM / MYR), we retain transaction records including the payment method selected (FPX, Touch 'n Go eWallet or IBG), transaction amount and timestamp. Full bank card numbers are not stored by ci4 — this sensitive data is handled directly by encrypted payment providers.

Cookies and Usage Data

We use session and preference cookies to store your language settings, login status, and display preferences. Usage data such as pages visited, session duration, and click actions are collected to help us improve the overall user experience.

2. How We Use Your Information

The information we collect is used solely to operate the ci4 platform and improve the quality of our services for Malaysian users. Specifically, your information is used to:

  • Verifying identity and managing user accounts
  • Processing deposits and withdrawals in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) securely
  • Sending important notifications relating to your account, transactions or policy changes
  • Diagnosing and resolving platform technical issues
  • Preventing fraud, money laundering and activities that violate our terms of use
  • Meeting applicable legal compliance requirements
  • Improving user experience based on anonymised usage patterns

Ci4 does not use your personal information for third-party advertising without your consent.

3. Cookies, Tracking & Data Storage

How Cookies Are Used

Ci4 uses two main types of cookies. Session cookies are temporary and deleted automatically when you close your browser. Preference cookies are stored longer to remember settings such as your language preference and login state, so you don't have to reset them on every visit.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time. However, blocking certain cookies may affect platform functionality such as auto-login or gaming session stability.

Data Retention Period

Active account information is retained for as long as your account remains active. If an account is closed at the user's request, personal information will be deleted within 90 days, except for financial transaction records that may need to be retained longer to meet legal or audit requirements.

Data Security

All data transmitted between your device and ci4 servers is protected using SSL encryption. Our internal databases are secured with multi-layered access controls and continuously monitored to detect any unauthorised access attempts.

4. Sharing Information with Third Parties

Ci4 does not sell, rent or share your personal information with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. However, there are limited situations where your information may be shared:

  • Payment providers: Transaction information is shared with payment service providers (such as banks and FPX operators) to process deposits and withdrawals in RM. These providers are subject to their own privacy policies.
  • Legal requirements: ci4 may be required to disclose user information if ordered by a court or authorised authority in Malaysia under applicable legal provisions.
  • Fraud prevention: In cases suspected to involve fraud or money laundering, relevant information may be shared with the appropriate regulatory authorities.

In all of the above situations, only the minimum necessary information will be shared, and we will notify users where permitted to do so by law.

5. User Rights & How to Contact Us

You have the right to request a copy of the personal information we hold about your account. This request can be submitted via our support email and will be processed within 14 business days.
